The Chameleon HYBRID Series is the next generation of Chameleon Antenna. This new generation of antennas and accessories will be fully compatible with almost any previous and future products.
The Chameleon HYBRID design revolves around a specially designed antenna base: the Chameleon HYBRID Base. This special base offers instantaneous bandwidth performance from 6M to 160M which will depend of the selected antenna configuration. The base is mainly designed to fulfill multiple tasks, enhance performances of the antenna system and facilitate antenna installations. It also has an integral broadband impedance matching allowing broadband waveforms to be utilized even after the addition of higher power amplifiers up to 1500W SSB.
With the help of accessories (which are sold separately) the HYBRID base can be converted into four (4) different antenna configuration types:
1 - END FED ANTENNA (Base kit provided with each HYBRID at purchase)
The HYBRID End Fed antenna configuration covers 160 to 6 meters without any gaps including WARC Bands, MARS/CAP, 60 meters, etc… The HYBRID End Fed is perfect for apartments, condominiums, homeowners associations, deed restrictions and CCRs (Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions), First Responders, Emergency Preparedness, attic antenna installation, back packers, RV antenna, field day operation, portable installation, stationary vehicular installation, sail boats and many more. The biggest advantages of the End Fed configuration is that the HYBRID doesn't required any ground connection for great performance. The configuration types for the End Fed HYBRID are numerous: vertical, sloper, horizontal, inverted "L", inverted "V", zig-zagged, etc...

2 - VERTICAL ANTENNA - VEHICULAR MOBILE (COMING SOON)
The HYBRID vertical vehicular mobile whip antenna is designed to enhance the radio communication application capabilities across the entire HF band. The 9'5" antenna whip is composed of two screw together sections: 5' fiberglass section and a 4'5" stainless steel section. Those two sections are mounted on top of the spring HYBRID base. For stationary vehicular operation the Chameleon MIL Whip (10'8") can be added on top of the 5' fiberglass section to improve communication performance while the vehicle is stationary and doesn't move.
